Course Summary:

Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA®) courses are for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18.

This course is designed for individuals who would like to become their grassroots club Youth MHFAider and to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support. 

On completion of this course you will be ready to raise the awareness, increase the conversation, deliver education and provide support for mental health and well-being at your grassroots club and beyond.

There is a requirement to complete some individual learning ahead of each live session (timings below). You will not be able to complete this course if this pre-learning is not completed.

Session 3 (2hrs 30min)

  2. Explore the impact of suicidal feelings
