Tackle This Together are pleased to announce their partnership with Macron and Macron Store Hastings. The sportswear giants are backing the Tackle This Together campaign and mission to support mental health within grassroots football.
To launch the partnership, Macron Store Hastings have provided Tackle This Together with the funding to become sponsors of Broadbridge Heath FC. Playing in the Isthmian League for the first time in their history, the Bears will have their first team away kit and players’ tracksuits sponsored by Tackle This Together.
Tackle This Together Founder Ross Butterfill reflected, “This sponsorship opportunity is going to significantly raise the awareness of our campaign and our long-term mission within non-league and grassroots football. All of which would not be possible without the partnership and support of Macron and Macron Store Hastings. I would like to use this opportunity to thank Andrea Palilla and David Henham at Macron for showing such passion and willingness to back us from our very first conversation. We have very close connections to Broadbridge Heath FC and they too have been extremely supportive of our initiative, helping to make this sponsorship opportunity possible. We are really pleased to be working with the club for the upcoming season.”
Expanding on their partnership, Macron will be providing all participants of Tackle This Together mental health first aid and awareness courses, with a polo shirt upon completion of their qualification. Ross went on to say, “We want our Mental Health First Aiders and Awareness Qualified Coaches to be visible and easily accessible within their clubs. We hope the polo shirts will help towards this.”
Macron and Macron Store Hastings are excited to back this initiative and are looking forward to supporting the campaign’s growth. David Henham at Macron Store Hastings said, “We are proud to be partnered with Tackle This Together. This is a fantastic organisation who are helping to raise awareness of Mental Health in sport.”
The Tackle This Together mission is built on four key pillars; to raise awareness, increase the conversation, deliver education, and provide support for mental health and wellbeing within grassroots football.
In order to complete this mission, they will be working with the 17,000 grassroots clubs across the country to have a fully trained Mental Health First Aider and Mental Health Awareness Coaches within their club. Each of these individuals will be trained by Tackle This Together in partnership with Mental Health First Aid England. They will then be fully supported on an ongoing basis by Tackle This Together to ensure that those four key pillars and foundations are being met and that they are continually delivered within their club.
Ross from Tackle This Together finished by saying, “It is estimated that millions of people play football every week via the 17,000 grassroots clubs across the country. If we are able to have a mental health first aider or mental health awareness trained coach within each of those clubs, we will be positively impacting over 13 million people every week.”
